Obituary

Carla Rae Norris, age 63, has joined the loving arms of our Creator due to natural causes on February 7, 2020. She was born on July 14, 1956 in Polson, MT to Shirley Rae Dupuis – Pulse and LeRoy Norris.

She was a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and spent her young years growing and adventuring on the Flathead Indian Reservation. Carla traveled and lived in the Pacific Northwest during her lifetime. She had a profound love for both oceans and mountains. Carla’s roots eventually called her home to Montana where her heart was captured by Ron Brooks, her husband of 20 years.

Carla is preceded in death by her parents Shirley and LeRoy, her sister Theresa Lynn Stevens and her daughter Heather Kelly.

She is survived by her husband Ron Brooks of Ronan, MT; her son Joseph Johns of Oregon; her sisters, Koralyn Johns of Polson, MT; and Tammy Kendrick of Spokane, WA; she is also survived by her aunt Linda Pulse of Polson and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services and Celebration of Life for Carla will be announced at a later date. “When you miss me, close your eyes. I may be far but never gone.”
