Obituary for Anna Mae Storm-Harris Sullivan

Anna Mae Storm ' Harris Sullivan, 83, of Pablo, MT passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at home surrounded by her family. Anna was the eldest of five children and was born in eastern Montana on December 23, 1927. She married Theodore Ambross and they ranched and farmed in the eastern part of the state. They were married for twenty-one years and to that union brought seven children, Gary Harris of Washington, Sidney Harris of Canada, Ron Harris of Washington, Richard Harris of Missoula, Leland Harris of Missoula, Mariann (John) Largent of Plains, and Cindy Olson of Polson. Anna was a graduate of the U of M with a business degree and bookkeeping major. She continued her education and obtained her insurance license. In 1975, while selling insurance, she met and married Harley Sullivan and was married until Anna passed away. She was a self-taught artist who sang opera and was offered a recording contract at the age of 16. However, Anna's mother refused to let her move to the big city to follow her dream. She was an incredible and devoted mother and grandmother who always put everyone before her self. Our mother and grandmother will be greatly missed. She was the matriarch of the family and remained proud and strong even until her death. Her parents and her eldest son, Gary Ambross Harris proceed Anna in death. Besides her children, she is survived by 15 grandchildren, Rocky Olson (Crystal McDougal), Nicolas Olson (Valenda Morigeau), Roger Olson, Christina (Kevin) Clark, Wade Culp, Stacey (Rhonda) Harris, Jason Harris, Josh Harris, Jeremy Harris, Heather Harris, Holly Harris, Veronica (Milner) Harris, Jamie Harris, and Jesse Harris: 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild on the way. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010, 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Polson. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family online at www.groganfuneralhome.com. The staff of Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory, Polson considers it a privilege to care for Anna's family.
