Arlene Susan (Matt) Powell, age 54, was called home by the Creator on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at her residence in Ronan. She was born on February 17, 1965 to Peter F. Matt and Regina A. Couture Matt.
Arlene attended grade schools in Missoula and graduated from Ronan High School in 1983. She grew up with her 5 siblings in Ronan until they all moved away and had families of their own.
Arlene worked at CSKT in the legal department as a legal secretary for several years. Arlene then in later years, worked for Roger Starkel in the potato fields and loved to go in the woods to help cut firewood for herself and friends, also worked at S & K Electronics and shoreline protection. Arlene always loved to cook and barbeque for family and friends. She was an all- around caring person.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, Regina Couture Matt and Peter F. Matt, her sons Anthony Stasso and Frankie Nicolai, her brother Kevin, nephews Richard Matt and Isaiah Matt, her sister Donna Matt and her sons, Christopher and Marshall Matt and many aunties and uncles.
She is survived by her husband James F. “Frank” Powell, her sons, Adrian Stasso and Randall Lumpry; grandchildren, Anthony, Jr., Sayonna, Feather, TrueLove, Jayden and Jonathon; her siblings, Donata Healy, Jody Irvine, Beverly (Wilbert) Michel, brother Jerry (Selena) Matt; Shirley Matt of Glendale, AZ; brother Eugene Matt of Cutbank, MT and mother in law Linda Gardipe Moulton and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a Wake beginning at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 30, 2019 with a Rosary at 8:00 P.M. with the Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 31, 2019 all at Elmo with burial to follow services at Dayton Cemetery.
