Brian Wayne Loberg, “Uncle Bri”, Sunrise October 16, 1976, in Plains, Montana to Ricky Harold and Judith Lee (Snyder) Loberg and Sunset June 25, 2025, in Missoula, Montana.
Brian swung his last hammer on June 25 at the age of 48. His love for family, hard work, and simple joys defined his remarkable life.
Brian was a kind soul. He’s the type of guy that would give his shirt off his back without question. He was a brother, friend, and a dedicated and loving uncle, whose warmth and kindness made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His family meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment spent with his nieces, nephews, and loved ones. To Brian, family wasn’t just about bloodlines; it was about love, loyalty, and support. He embraced everyone he met as family, and his kindness knew no bounds. He had many great friends over the years that became family; friends that became brothers/sisters and whose kids became his nieces and nephews.
Born on October 16, 1976, Brian grew up with an adventurous spirit and a heart full of generosity. A proud entrepreneur, Brian built two successful businesses, North Star Construction and Loberg Custom Knives. He created stunning, one-of-a-kind knives using antlers, blending artistry with skill. He poured his heart into his work, always striving for excellence and craftsmanship. He took great pride in his businesses and there wasn’t a job that he didn’t complete without pouring his heart into it. You haven’t seen ambition until you call Brian for a job you need completed.
Some of Brian's simple pleasures were filled maple bars, mountain dew, Carhartt, hunting, camping, and cruises. He loved music, researching and binding his own books. He was very fond of his time at Two Eagle and working in the kitchen with Theresa. Brian always had a quick fix to a problem such as using gum to fix a broken house plant. He never ceased to put a smile on your face with all of his ideas. He loved Jesus and often said his happiest moments were watching people get baptized.
Brian gave the gift of life through whole body donation. He is survived by the people that meant the most to him; family and friends that became family. He will be loved and missed by so many. Funeral services will be Monday, June 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Lonepine Cemetery in Lonepine. Bring a chair and your favorite memory of Brian.
