She attended schools in Polson, MT, Chemawa Indian School, Salem, OR, Salish Kootenai College, Pablo, MT, and University of Montana’s Vo-Tech, Missoula, MT.  Missy found her calling in the Salish Kootenai College’s Building Trades Carpentry program.  She was an accomplished Cabinet Maker and gained employment with a local cabinet company, “The Cupboard”.  Missy held an adventurous array of jobs which included employment in Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada. She was an excellent Beader, Cook, and Baker, and loved sharing the fruits of her talents with others.

Missy was a beloved Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Titi, Papa, and most of all Best Friend.  She was an advocate for many and was always assisting those in need.

Missy married Russell Letcher and together they enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and the outdoors, and taking family, especially their nieces and nephews, camping, huckleberry picking, swimming, and fishing.
