Polson

Dallas Eden Peterson of Polson, MT, passed away on July 20 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born on October 15, 1951, to Leon and Gail Peterson.

Dallas is survived by her son, Michael Peterson; her brother, Bill Peterson; nephew Tony Peterson, and nieces Mikayluh Peterson of Spokane, and Valerie Peterson-Orlandi of Carlsebad, California.

Dallas was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Gail Peterson, and her sibling, Kennis Turpin and Grant Peterson

Dallas Graduated from Polson Highschool in 1970. She loved her two dogs, Korkee and Lewis, who passed before her. She also adored her grand-puppy, who now lives with Michael.

She had a lifelong love of country music and was an especially devoted fan of Elvis Presley. Her room at the nursing home was filled with Elvis memorabilia, reflecting the joy his music brought her throughout her life.

Dallas enjoyed meeting friends for donuts at Super 1 Foods and chowder on Fridays at the bakery. Before moving to Polson Health and Rehabilitation she enjoyed playing bingo at the senior citizens center on Friday nights. She continued to play bingo and participated in activities at the nursing home, and enjoyed spending time with the friends she made there.

Dallas was a hardworking and compassionate woman. She worked at 4B's Diner for 16½ years. She also worked at Westmont and Mission Mountain Enterprises, where she helped care for individuals with developmental disabilities. She took pride in her work and the opportunity to care for others.

Michael and friends would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses at Polson Health and Rehabilitation and to the staff at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Polson for the kindness, compassion, and excellent care they provided to Dallas. And a special thank you to June Jorgenson our lifelong friend.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, Polson. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
