Doris Goetsch, 98 passed away Tuesday, February 22,2022 at Lake View Care Center surrounded by love and her dearest baby dolls. She was born on December 8, 1923 at Tolley, North Dakota the daughter of Millard and Jane (Pope) Barr.
Doris married Carl H. Goetsch on November 17, 1944 in Tolley, ND and had 6 children. They were married for 42 years.
Doris loved family getting together at the lake house, singing, playing piano, and serving her famous cinnamon rolls. She enjoyed gardening, being a seamstress, crocheting, tatting, and spoiling the children growing up with baked goods.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Goetsch; her parents, Millard and Jane Barr; sisters Lula Mae Rauschenberger and Marge Leach; children Stuart Goetsch and Mark Goetsch and granddaughter, Carla Goetsch.
Survivors includes her brother, Sheridan Barr; children, Barb Vanders, Roger (Janet) Goetsch, Evan (Kathy) Goetsch, Debra (Troy) Brooks; daughter-in-law Linda Goetsch; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandsons.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Tolley, ND.
