Evelena Garcia

Evelena Garcia, at the age of 82, died of natural causes on November 16, 2017, in Polson, Montana.

Evelena is survived by her sons Donald (Randi) Garcia, Tracy H. (Jenaya) Garcia, ChrisCole; her partner Dave Weible; former spouse and father of her sons Donald L. Garcia; her sisters Carol Kuntz, and Suzy Coughren; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Virgil & Lucy Gilson; sons David and Terry Garcia; her sisters Joanne, Wanda, Sharon, and brother Charlie.

Evelena Gilson was born on November 4, 1935 in St Ignatius, Montana, to parents Virgil and Lucy Gilson. She spent many of her years living and working in the Mission Valley.

She spent her years as a homemaker and caregiver and devoted 20+ years as a cook for the CSKT Head Start program. One of her biggest joys was spending time at the lot on Flathead Lake with her many friends and family.

There will be memorial planned for the summer of 2018.

Her family members extend their appreciation to hospice and St. Joseph medical staff for their care.
