Hattie Emma Kimble Johnson passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital in Polson after a brief illness on January 14, 2026. She was born to George Albert and Nellie Jeannette Weltner Kimble on August 22, 1939, in Arlee Montana. She had one brother and four sisters
In 1957 she married Elliot Mallory Johnson. They loved, laughed, took care of each other and their family for over 54 years. Their union produced three children, Josie Rhonda, Brian Elliot, and Roger Scott.
Hattie loved to travel with her husband and children, including frequent trips to the coast fishing and various cities for professional baseball and football games. For their fiftieth anniversary they accompanied son Brian and his wife Julie on a three-week tour of Europe.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elliot, son Roger, parents and siblings.
She is survived by her daughter Josie, son Brian (wife Julie), grandchildren, Kristin, Ross, Cassandra, and Boone. Along with six great grandchildren that were the joy of her life, Tucker, Paytin, Westin, Presley, Reagan, and Piper.
Her favorite saying: Whenever I find myself in the cellar of affliction, I always look about for the wine.
Child, sister, friend, wife, mother. An awesome fulfilled life!
There are no services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Polson City Library.
