Kathleen Marie Devlin-Collicott

October 27, 1956 — September 4, 2025

Polson

The world will miss this amazing wife, mother, Mimo, sister, auntie, and friend. Kathy Devlin-Collicott left this earthly life September 4, 2025, after a courageous fight with breast cancer.

Kathy was born to Ward and LaVere Devlin on October 27, 1956, in Polson. She was the sixth of eight children.

Kathy attended Polson schools, graduating in 1975. Her fiftieth-class reunion was the weekend she went to heaven.

Kathy married Gary Brown and welcomed Chris and Cody to their family. After Gary passed away, Kathy and the boys moved to Spokane where she attended Spokane Falls Community College. Her goal at that point was to become a school counselor, however, sometimes God has a different plan. Upon returning to Polson, Kathy worked successfully at a variety of jobs. Over the next 35 years she made lifelong friends through her work as a dental assistant, as an aid in the afterschool program, and working for the greenhouses in town. Perhaps one of her most enjoyable jobs was that of achieving “a school of hardknocks” doctorate of GREENTHUMB. She loved being her own boss and making people’s perennial gardens look fabulous!

Kathy’s life changed when she met Patrick Collicott and their adventure began. Off they went to California where Pat worked construction. While there Kyahna joined the family. After a few years they moved to Whidbey Island, Washington. Finally, they were called back to the mountains of Montana and settled in Polson. One of the greatest joys of Kathy’s life was her grandchildren. She loved each and every one of them with her whole heart. Kathy spent countless hours playing cards, board games and music with them, including the kazoo.

Kathy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. The battle was fierce! Despite a tough fight she never lost her sense of humor or her stubbornness. She was flirty and feisty up until the very end.

From all of us who love Kathy, thank you Pat for being a loving husband and incredibly tireless caregiver.

Sadly, this doesn’t begin to tell the whole story of Kathy Devlin-Collicott. She was the spunk and the joy of any gathering. Her smile, laughter, and ability to light up any room she entered had to be experienced to appreciate. We can only hope when the time comes to memorialize her that all those lives, she has touched will speak up and share their part of her story!

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Peggy Morigeau; sisters, Karen and Deb Ross-Bugosh; brothers, Greg, Tom, Pat, and twin nephews; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kathy leaves behind her husband Patrick, children, Chris, Cody, Kyahna, Amy, Kyndra, and Bud. Grandchildren Brody, Cashton, Colton, Maliek, Daden, Chairoum, Dardarian, Achaiah, Anjo, Julianna, Jordan, Bella, Chasen, Camrie, and 2 great grandchildren Lukah, and Phoenix. She is also survived by siblings, Chuck, JeNeil (Greg), and Jeff, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Kathy never knew a stranger.

A graveside service will be held at Polson Lakeview Cemetery on September 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm. All are welcome. A Celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026.

Memorials may be sent in Kathy’s memory to Mission Valley Animal Shelter or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
