Martha M Lloyd

Martha M. Lloyd passed away at her home in Ronan Montana, surrounded by family and the Northern Lights on Tuesday November 11, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born in Dupree South Dakota on April 7, 1934. Her family moved multiple times before landing in Boise Idaho. Martha attended eleven different schools, but the only stories family ever heard about was her time in the Catholic school in Sturgis South Dakota.

Martha raised six children of her own and parented multiple others throughout her years. She had a warm smile with plenty of hugs to go around. Many new her only as Grandma and her front door was always open. Martha loved to feed everyone, some of her favorites being biscuits and gravy and she and Zon's famous Lloyd BBQ chicken. Martha and her husband Zon raised cattle and sold Christmas trees for over 60 years. She enjoyed cutting and perming hair, sewing, crocheting, playing pinochle and gardening. Martha served in many callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved caring for others.

Martha is survived by her Husband Zon Lloyd, Daughter Kathy Weingart (Terry) of Ronan, MT, Son's Steve Lloyd (Kathy) of Salt Lake City, UT, David Lloyd of Layton, UT, Dan Lloyd (Cindy) of Burley, ID, John Lloyd of Rupert, ID, Sisters Bertha White of Boise, ID, Colleen Kateley of Boise, ID, Linda Werle of Henderson, NV, Brothers Robert Lightfield of Roseville, CA, Ralph Lightfield of Boise, ID, Tom Lutz of Frederick, CO, Terry Lutz of Surprise, AZ, and Jim Lutz of Westminster, CO, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Martha was blessed with 21 Grandchildren, 36 Great grandchildren and 10 Great great-grandchildren.

Martha was preceded in death by her Parents Regina and Alfred (stepfather) Lightfield and Jacob and Bernice (stepmother) Lutz, Sister Jackie Ellingburg, Brothers Alfred and Albert Lightfield, Son Dale Lloyd, Grandsons Michael Currie and Joshua Lloyd and Granddaughter Rosie Lloyd.

We would like to thank all family and friends who helped care for Martha over the years as well as her Hospice and Angel Care nurses. The care and love Martha received has meant the world to her family.

Funeral services will be held November 18, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Polson MT, with a 10:00 am viewing. Graveside burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery following the service, with luncheon afterwards at the LDS Church, 1202 4th Ave E, Polson MT.
