Mary Catherine Arden

Mary Catherine (Reasy) Arden passed away at The Retreat in Polson, Montana on November 21, 2022. She was born August 7, 1925, in Sabetha, Kansas to Florence (Van Dyke) and Charles Walter Scott Reasy. She was the second of seven children,

After graduating from high school, she worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone in Sabetha before going to California. She was an accountant at a music store in Fresno. She married Rodney Arden on January 2, 1954.

Retiring in 1975, they relocated to Polson, Montana to enjoy living near Flathead Lake. There Mary was actively involved at the Senior Citizen Community Center. Once a month, she would bake 23 pies for the Center’s fund raiser. Mary was a prolific quilter, producing over 100 quilts and donating most of them.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Arden, her parents Florence and Scott Reasy, brothers Charles Reasy and Robert Reasy and sisters Alice McClellan, Dorothy Lyon and Lucille Benedict.

She is survived by her sister Phyllis D. Reynolds of Illinois City, Illinois.
