Nancy Jean Rayna

Nancy J. Rayna, 62, of Charlo, MT, passed away at her home on September 10, 2026.

She was born on July 28, 1964, in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of John J. and Ruth J. (Innes) Rayna. Her childhood and early education took place in Enfield, CT, where she graduated from Enrico Fermi High School in 1982. Nancy graduated from Rivier College in Nashua, NH, with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in English in 1986. She also pursued an MBA. She worked at Digital, Cabletron, Lotus, and IBM in a variety of capacities, including business systems analyst, application engineer, technical and customer support manager, and other IS support positions. She worked in the computer networking industry for most of her adult life. She was also heavily involved in her community in Manchester, NH, and served on a board that created a food co-op. She retired early from her last position at I.B.M. and spent her final days in Montana, working as a health and wellness coach. 

Nancy will always be remembered for her bright, positive zeal for life, her generous spirit, and her love for her family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, Peter J. Rayna, and his family Danielle D. Rayna of Fredericksburg, VA, and her niece and nephew–in- law, Danica and Matthew Wharton, and her grandnephew, Michael Clement Wharton, and her sister’s family, Cynthia J. R. Plante and Christopher C. Plante of Warren, RI, and her niece and nephews, Sarah Grace Plante, Stephen S. Plante, and Joshua J. Plante, and cousin, Ellen Hawkins, and her family in Houston, TX.
