On September 3, 2025, in Dixon, Montana, Ozayo Michael Burland left this world to be with the ancestors. He was born in Missoula, Montana on February 21, 2002, to Christine Johnston and Raven Burland. Ozayo was raised by his grandparents Brad & Gen Eneas in Elmo, Big Arm and later moved to Pablo.
He attended school in Polson and Two Eagle. He played basketball and enjoyed listening to and making music. Ozayo loved hanging out with friends! It didn't matter if there was nothing to do, he just enjoyed being in the presence of people who cared. Ozayo always showed love for his family! He loved his family wholeheartedly, always hugging them, even if he didn't really know them. In 2021 his greatest accomplishment joined this world, his daughter Rosie.
He was preceded in death by his brother Zeke Burland, grandma/mom Gen Caye Eneas, great grandparents Alma & Albert Caye, sister Rose Kenmille, brother Laurence B. Kenmille, auntie Velma.
Ozayo is survived by his daughter Rosie, his parents Chrissy Johnston and Raven Burland, the love of his life, Andi Sherwood, his grandfather/dad Brad Eneas, brother Phillip Benoist, uncle/brothers Youstah & Bassu Eneas, and auntie Valerie. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A wake will begin on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 5:00 pm, Rosary at 8:00 pm, and funeral on Monday, September 8th at 2:00 pm, all at Elmo Hall. Burial will follow at Dayton Cemetery.
