Ralph "Butch" Harris Tiemyer was born in Missoula, MT, on July 28, 1954, to Harris "Bud" and Fern Tiemyer. He died July 7, 2026 at the age of 71 in Polson, MT. He grew up near Bonner Park where he attended Paxson Grade School and graduated from Hellgate High School. Butch spent many years living on the East shore of Flathead Lake and was an incredibly talented water skier. He and several friends formed the unofficial "Yellow Bay Ski Club" where they all honed their skills. Butch was always happiest out on the lake in his boat.

He was a good fisherman and would often cast from the cement dock in front of his boathouse in the evenings. He was an excellent mechanic and machinist. Butch worked for years for both Liberty and Billmayer Drilling. In 1994, he started his own company, Cyclone Drilling, which was a very successful water well and pump business in both Plains and Bigfork. He was respected by his customers who, often became his friends.

Butch is survived by three sisters, Dianne (George) Dahl, Sandra (Dale) Erickson and Candice (Ken) Snell; 14 nieces and nephews; four great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Gwen Wemple and brother-in-law, Charles Wemple.

A celebration of life will be announced on a later date.
