Ricky Dean Couture

October 7, 1958 — September 25, 2025

Ronan

It is with broken hearts we are saddened beyond words to announce the passing of our beloved Ricky Dean Couture on September 24, 2025. He was born on October 7, 1958, in Polson MT. He was preceded in death by his son Sloan Couture, his loving parents Norma Silverthorne Marceau Decker Couture and Emmett (Swede) Couture who are waiting with open arms for their baby boy, a brother Gerald Leroy Marceau, and sisters Barbara Lensman and Norma Anderson.

He is survived by his son Slade Couture of Polson MT. and daughter Farah Ramirez of Las Vegas NV. He is survived by brothers Larry (Pat) Marceau of Meade KS, John Marceau of Three Forks MT, Mike (Dorothy) Decker of Ronan MT, Dan Decker of Hot Springs MT, and sisters Betty (Roy) Martin of St. Ignatius, MT, Donna (Norm) Carpenter from Aurora CO, Judy Decker of St. Ignatius MT, Jeannie Nowotny of Polson MT, and Margie (Bob) Irvine of Missoula MT. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rick attended schools at Polson and Two Eagle. Throughout his life he worked as a Heavy Equipment Instructor at Kicking Horse Job Corp, a bartender for The Smokehouse, a paver for Reum Construction and a flagger.

Rick was the youngest of thirteen kids. As the baby of the family, he always knew he had support and love from all his brothers and sisters no matter how old he was. He has left a big hole in our hearts. His besties Mike Stinger, Rusty Irvine and Melissa Denton feel our pain as much as we do. Rick loved tv shows like Price Is Right, Mash and especially older westerns. You would always find his tv on one of these shows blaring away. He loved to bake; he was always making cakes. He went all out on the holidays decorating everything. When he could, he would always cut his own Christmas tree. He was our go to guy to help out with our crafts, mosaics, diamond art, and painting. He was very creative. He painted walking stones, lamps, ceramics, whatever he could. He was a busy man. His go to sports he loved were playing pool (he was good!) and horseshoes (not too bad). He always rooted for the Rams and the Montana Griz. Rick loved to garden, be it a small patch or just caring for plants. He always had the best curbside appeal wherever he lived. His decorations were the best.
