Rodney Wells Fair, affectionately known as “Rod”, was carried home to God on June 10, 2026, in Polson, Montana at the age of 78, just three days before his 79th birthday. He was born on June 13, 1947, in Lansing, Michigan to Rex Fair and Alice Ferguson.
Rod lived a life defined by his love for family and the relationships he built throughout the years. He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, generosity, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.
He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Meg Fair; his children, Jason Fair, Monique (James) Chriestenson, Chana Fair, and Cherbonne Raphel; and his cherished grandchildren, Trentin, John, Aiden, Logan, Kameron, and Etienne. He is also survived by his beloved nieces, Tallie Upchurch and Teri Stites, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Carol Fair, his parents Rex and Alice Fair, and his sister ElReta Pizzutelli.
Rod’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His legacy of love, family, and friendship will continue through the generations that follow.
Donations in honor of Rod can be made to Polson Boys and Girls Club, Polson Rodeo, Safe Harbor, or the Passenger Vessel Foundation. Rod was always an incredibly generous man and this would honor him in the best way.
The family invites those who knew Rod to remember him by sharing stories, offering kindness to others, and cherishing the time spent with loved ones. His life was a gift and his memory will remain a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
