Shirley Mae Sheridan

Shirley Mae Sheridan, age 89, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023. She was born May 31, 1934, in Conrad, MT, to Clarence and Beatrice Robertson. She was the fifth of eight children. She and her siblings grew up on their family farm in Devon, MT. She attended country school through 8^th grade, until she moved to town to attend Shelby High School until graduation.

Shirley married Carl Nelson in 1954. They had two daughters, Georgie and Sheila, the marriage ended in divorce. She remarried Charles “Bud” Sheridan. They made their home in Carson, California. They moved to Polson MT in 1980 after Buds’ retirement.

Shirley and Bud were very involved with the Montana Fiddlers, and Montana Accordion Association. After Buds passed Shirley continued playing music and enjoying all her grandchildren’s activities.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Bud, her parents, Clarence and Beatrice, her siblings Lucille (George) Frydenlund, Clare (Thelma) Robertson, Jim (Marlys) Robertson & Darilyn Keller.

She is survived by her daughters Georgie Huerta and Sheila Marquardt, both of Polson MT, her grandchildren Chloie Huerta of Anaconda, Elaina (Jake) Jennison, Erika (Jeff) Jennison, Martina, Nick, Veronica, & John Marquardt all of Polson, great-grandchildren Brynlee & Joey Jennison, and siblings Betty Stevens, Vern (Sharon) Robertson, Duane (Barb) Robertson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
