Stephen James Lean

Stephen “Steve” J. Lean, age 76, passed away January 19, 2023, at his home in Polson. He was born in 1946 to Steve and Georgine Lean. He spent his younger years in Butte.

In 1964, he married his childhood sweetheart, Beverly. Together, they raised two children.

During his life, he worked as a hard rock underground miner in several states, until returning to Polson. He was then employed at CSKT until retiring in 2008. He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing. He loved his family and took great pride in them, his heritage, and his home, especially his beautiful yard.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly; his daughters, Stephanie (Tedd) Herreid and Jacqueline (Tony) Bonney; brother, Josh Armijo; several grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
