Obituary for Steven Michael Burrell

Steve passed away peacefully at his home in Polson, MT, surrounded by loved ones after a short, courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born in Spokane, WA to Alve Burrell and Jessie (Arnold) Burrell.

He was raised in a very loving home and enjoyed road trips with his Dad and his mother’s cooking. He attended Shadle Park HS and was lucky enough to drive a Corvette at that time and was a member of the Centurions Car Club. Shortly after, he met his first wife Peggy Burrell and became a father to his 2 daughters; Nichole & Angelique. He eventually ended up working at Travis Pattern & Foundry where he retired after a lifetime of employment. Thirty-two years ago he met Debora (Repp) Burrell who became his beloved partner and wife. They enjoyed many adventures together and chose Polson as their retirement destination. It was there that they built their dream home and instantly established loving friendships with residents of the town.

Steve was a master of wit, a trivia buff, loved to collect stamps & vintage beer bottles, he also had a vast knowledge of anything related to WWII. He was always up for an adventure and loved the outdoors, camping was one of his favorite pastimes, especially on the 4th of July which was his favorite holiday. He always had an arsenal of fireworks to share with his friends. His #1 passion was football, he loved it so much that he organized a yearly football pool for friends and family to participate in, complete with prizes & trophies. Above all, he was very generous, extremely intelligent and had an endless sense of humor.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Alve, his mother Jessie, his wife Debora, and his daughter Angelique Burrell.

Steve is survived in death by his brother Alve Burrell Jr., his daughter Nichole (Burrell) Crosby and son in-law Edward Crosby, his step-son Nathan Scalise and step-daughter in-law Cindi Loss, step-son Brandon Scalise, his nephew Sabin Burrell, his niece Capri Burrell, his cousin Roy Burrell, the mother of his children Peggy Burrell, numerous grandchildren & in-laws and lastly, his beloved dog Bubbles aka Bubbie.
