Wade Douglas LaFountain

Wade Douglas LaFountain, age 73, passed away July 21, 2023, at his residence.

Wade was the third of five children born in Lewistown, Mt to Ina Doney Lafountain and Alex Joseph LaFountain. He attended schools in Lewistown. 

Wade, along with his two brothers Duane and Robert, inherited a talent for art from his father, who was a recognized, western artist. Alex owned an Art Foundry which he ran out of Roundup, Mt. Wade helped his dad at the foundry in Roundup which enabled him to meet his first wife Marilyn Carpenter in 1972. He and Marilyn lived in Lewistown, Coos Bay, Oregon, and Billings, Mt. and had two beautiful children. Melanie Lisa and Michael Paul. Wade and Marilyn separated in 1982.

Wade met Betty Brown in Lewistown and they later became a couple. Wade and Betty were together for several years before marrying on Dec. 23,1989.  They lived in Seattle Wa, and Great Falls, Mt. They had two beautiful boys, Jesse Wade and James Perry. 

Wade is survived by his children, Michael Paul of Billings, Mt. Jesse, of Polson Mt, James of Kalispell Mt. and his grandson, Nathan Hugh Crawford of Billings, His brother, Duane (Sherryl) LaFountain of Post Falls Idaho. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; Alex J. LaFountain and Ina Claire Butterfield, daughter, Melanie L. Crawford, grandson Ryan Crawford, daughter-in-law, Kristin Hall, granddaughter, Daisy Lynn LaFountain, brother, Robert, both sisters Candy Seibel and Penny Malone. 

Services for Wade will be at Saint Leo’s Church in Lewistown Mt. on September 16, 2023, at 12:00 pm.
