William H. Thomas, 74, of Alameda, CA, passed into eternal life on April 5, 2009 in Alameda, CA. Bill was born on November 23, 1935 to his proud parents, Dan and Mary Thomas of Dubois, Idaho. He grew up in California, Dubois, Idaho, and Montana. In 1953, Bill graduated from Ronan High School in Ronan, MT. Bill entered the US Navy in 1954 to see the world. After his discharge in 1957, he entered MSU in Missoula, MT and received his BA from the School of Business in 1962, which led him to a business career in office management and finance. In 1959, Bill met and married Eunice McAlear and into that union a son was born in 1960, Kirk H. Thomas. Bill had many interests and hobbies. He especially had a passion for antiques, flea markets, and garage sales. But all of these interests took second place to his enjoyment of his family and friends. Bill was a devout member of the First Christian Church in Alameda, CA for many years. He loved his church and its members. His parents Dan and Mary Thomas, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Betty Thomas of Ronan, MT and Byron and Mary Thomas of Longview, TX precede him in death. Bill leaves to remember him his loving wife of almost 50 years, Eunice Thomas, and his son Kirk, both of Alameda, CA: three brothers and their wives, Dr. Gerald and Jean Thomas of Las Cruces, NM, Walter and Betsy Thomas of W. Jordan, UT, and John and JoAnn Thomas of Cordova, AK. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will also remember him.
